PRESS: Aeroflot fails to get $250 mln of royalty fees in 2020
MOSCOW, Oct 5 (PRIME) -- Russia’s national flagship air carrier Aeroflot has failed to obtain at least U.S. $250 million of trans-Siberian royalty fees in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, Vedomosti business daily reported on Tuesday citing a top manager of a Russian bank, familiar with Aeroflot’s financials.
The fees are paid by foreign companies, mainly, Air France and Lufthansa, for permission to fly using Russia’s trans-Siberian routes.
Vedomosti’s source with Aeroflot said that the sum of underperformance was around $350 million.
